El asalto final a nuestro corazón: de la economía de la atención a la economía del afecto

Una punzada de incomodidad se está instalando en mi, de esas que no se van con un simple «apagar la pantalla». Si hace años nos echamos las manos a la cabeza cuando entendimos que la economía de la atención nos estaba robando el tiempo a golpe de dopamina y scroll infinito, lo que viene ahora es, sencillamente, de otra dimensión.

Ya no quieren solo nuestra mirada. Ya no les basta con que nos quedemos un minuto más viendo un vídeo de gatitos o una noticia indignante para vendernos publicidad. Ahora, el nuevo petróleo de las tecnológicas es nuestro afecto. Hemos cruzado el umbral hacia la economía del afecto, algo que en inglés llaman the attachment economy.

Empiezo a sentir una incomodidad creciente, cada vez mayor, con la manera en que se está usando la inteligencia artificial en muchos entornos profesionales.

No hablo de la IA como herramienta. Hablo del uso inconsciente, perezoso o directamente irresponsable que se está normalizando. Y de las consecuencias silenciosas que eso tiene para el trabajo, las relaciones y la salud de los demás, los que sostenemos sistemas humanos.

Un Cervantes homosexual: provocación o descubrimiento

Hace unos días vi la película El Cautivo, y algo en ella me removió de una manera inesperada. Y no fue el retrato de la vida en Argel ni el dolor del cautiverio, sino la insinuación de un Cervantes quizás homosexual, una posibilidad que nunca antes había considerado. Me descubrí distraído por esa idea, incapaz de dejarla pasar, como si la película hubiera abierto una puerta a un territorio incómodo pero fascinante. Tal vez me afectó tanto porque para mí la homosexualidad no es un dato anecdótico sino un hecho cargado de trascendencia cultural, espiritual y política: habla de identidades silenciadas, de deseos prohibidos y de la lucha (interior y exterior) por el derecho a ser uno mismo.

The story of «Dancing our Way to Human-AI Consciousness» is also the story of key cracks that I have gone through, both breakdowns —moments where things broke down—and jointures—moments where seemingly disparate parts of my life came together to form something new. These breakdowns and jointures represent profound realizations where the automatic pilot of my behaviors was interrupted, my limited consciousness was manifested, and new awareness emerged. Each of these moments guided me on a path toward greater understanding of life and my place on it, something that we could refer as consciousness.

If I had to trace the beginning, I would have to explore these breakdowns and jointures chronologically, as each one represents a step in my journey.
